Additionally, there will be kid's activities, live music and appearances from Roc and the Pitt band and cheerleaders. Central Blood Bank will be offering two free tickets to the season-opener against Youngstown State to those who donate blood.

Thursday, August 30 - Pitt Bonfire and Student Picnic: The Thursday before Pitt's season-opener, the team will have a chance to hang out with and meet their fellow students with a student picnic from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Cathedral lawn. Immediately following the picnic, the team's annual bonfire to kick off the season will take place in the same location. The bonfire is open to the public.

Friday, August 31 - Kickoff Luncheon: Pitt's annual Kickoff Luncheon will be held at the Westin Convention Center with an 11:30 a.m. social and the lunch beginning at noon. The event is open to the public and is $40 per person. Call 412-648-8889 for reservations.
