PITT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Gymnastics: Alyssa Adrian. Adrian led the Panthers at the NCAA Regional Meet and was a tie-breaker away from advancing as an individual to the NCAA Championship Meet in the all-around competition. Adrian scored a career-high 39.275 in the all-around at Regionals. (Read more).
OTHER TOP PITT WEEKLY PERFORMANCES
Baseball: Ethan Mildren. Mildren threw a complete game and allowed just one unearned run while striking out six batters against USF. Mildren is 5-2 on the season with a 2.85 ERA and has tallied 40 strikeouts. (Read more).
Tennis: Kimmy Borza. Borza won three of her four matches this past week for the Panthers. Against Duquesne, Borza won her singles match 6-3, 6-1, while she and Karma Parbhu were victorious in doubles 8-6. Against Cincinnati, Borza teamed with Taylor Washington in doubles for the first time this season and the duo won their match 9-7. (Read more).
Baseball: Stephen Vranka. Vranka was 7-for-18 at the plate last week with one homer, five RBI and four runs. Vranka ranks second on the team in runs scored (27), triples (3) and walks (20). (Read more).
