PITT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Women’s Soccer: Alex Charlebois. The sophomore transfer scored three of Pitt’s four goals on the week as the Panthers concluded their season with two wins: 2-1 vs. Connecticut and 2-0 vs. Providence. Charlebois scored two breakaway goals against UConn, including the game-winner and concluded the year as Pitt’s leading scorer. (Read more).

OTHER TOP PITT WEEKLY PERFORMANCES

Cross Country: Morgan Perry. Perry finished in 11th place with a time of 21:50.8 at the Leopard Invitational at Lafayette College on Saturday. It marked the second time this year that Perry has led the Panthers in a race. Pitt finished in second place out of 13 teams in the Saturday event. (Read more).

Women’s Soccer: Nicole D’Agostino. The goalkeeper finished with one shutout, 15 saves and a 0.50 goals against average in Pitt’s two wins over Connecticut and Providence this week. (Read more).

Volleyball: Setter Lindsey Zitzke recorded two double-doubled for the Pitt volleyball team this past weekend. Against Georgetown, Zitzke had 30 assists and 11 digs, and also added four kills and four service aces. Against Villanova, she tallied 31 assists and a team-high 17 digs. (Read more).

Football: Devin Street. Street caught 11 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown in Pitt’s loss to Louisville on Saturday. (Read more).

Football: Tino Sunseri. Sunseri completed an astounding 28 of 37 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns in Pitt’s loss to Louisville on Saturday. (Read more).

PITT PLAY OF THE WEEK

Women’s Soccer: With the score tied 1-1 against Connecticut and with under four minutes to go in the game, Alex Charlebois received a through ball from Alyssa Meier, controlled the pass and scored her second goal of the evening. The score gave Pitt and first-year head coach Greg Miller its first Big East win of the season. (Read more).

PITT PANTHER WEEKLY NOTES

*Women’s Soccer concludes its season with a 7-10-2 overall record and 2-6-2 Big East slate. Freshman Roosa Arvas’ eight assists on the year ranked fourth in school history and Alex Charlebois led the team with five goals scored. Pitt honored its four seniors: Abby Baldys, Danielle Benner, Ashley Cuba and Kristina Rioux on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Providence.
