PITT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Women’s Basketball: Brianna Keisel. Keisel led the Panthers with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and six steals in a 94-61 exhibition win over Lock Haven. In scoring 13 of Pitt’s 18 points to start the second half, the sophomore point guard also converted seven of her nine field goal attempts. (Read more).
OTHER TOP PITT WEEKLY PERFORMANCES
Men’s Basketball: J.J. Moore. Through Pitt’s two exhibition games, Moore led the Panthers in scoring (13.5 ppg.) and field goal percentage (81.8 percent, 9-11) and also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game at his new power forward position. He led Pitt with 13 points (5-6 FG) and grabbed nine rebounds in a 77-45 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Friday. (Read more).
Volleyball: Alex Phillips. Phillips came off the bench to record a career-high in kills (10) and hitting percentage (.533), while tying a career-high with five blocks against South Florida. The senior middle shared a team-high in blocks and was one of four players to register double-digits in kills. (Read more).
Men’s Swimming & Diving: Martin Vogel. Vogel set lifetime best times in the 200 Yard Fly and the 500 Yard Freestyle and won both events in respective times of 1:50.14 and 4:40.23 against Cincinnati. (Read more).
Football: Ray Graham. Graham rushed for one touchdown and 172 yards on 24 carries. He also averaged 7.2 yards per carry in Pitt’s heartbreaking 29-26 three overtime loss at Notre Dame on Saturday. On the year, Graham has rushed for 794 yard and eight touchdowns on 158 attempts and caught 28 passes for 269 yards and two TDs. (Read more).
Diving: The Pitt men and women divers swept each diving event against Cincinnati, going 1-2-3 in the 1 Meter and the 3 Meter competitions. (Read more).
PITT PLAY OF THE WEEK
Wrestling: Matt Wilps. Wilps, a returning All-American and the No. 2 ranked 197-pound wrestler in the country, scored a pin fall victory at 6:50 to defeat No. 3 Quentin Wright of Penn State at the 47th NWCA All-Star Classic. (Read more).

*Women’s Basketball will hold its fourth annual School Day on Friday, Nov. 9 with over 3,000 local elementary and middle school children expected to attend. WTAE-TV anchor/reporter John Meyer will serve as a guest coach.
