PITT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Football: Ray Graham. Graham rushed for 113 yards in Pitt’s 27-6 victory over No. 19 Rutgers and moved into third place on Pitt’s career rushing list, passing Craig “Ironhead” Hayward. He currently has 3,177 career rushing yards and is 52 yards shy of his first career 1,000 yard season. (Read more).

OTHER TOP PITT WEEKLY PERFORMANCES

Men’s Basketball: Lamar Patterson. Patterson averaged 15.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in Pitt’s two games in New York at the NIT Season Tip-Off. He registered his third career double-double with a 16 point and 10 rebound performance in Pitt’s 85-59 win over Delaware on Friday. (Read more).

Football: Tino Sunseri. Sunseri was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Panthers’ 27-6 victory against No. 19 Rutgers this past weekend. Sunseri completed 21-of-39 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. He has now thrown 245 consecutive passes without an interception, which is the longest active streak in the country. (Read more).

Women’s Basketball: Ashlee Anderson. Anderson scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Panthers to a come-from-behind win over Brown on Saturday, Nov. 24. The redshirt junior guard tallied all of her points over an 11-minute second half period, which included a string of 11-straight points. Anderson added seven rebounds and a team-best four steals, which included the swipe which set up the game-winning 3-pointer by Abby Dowd. (Read more).

Men’s Basketball: Talib Zanna. Zanna was named to the NIT Season Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after he averaged 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in Pitt’s two games played in New York. He led Pitt with 18 points (6-9 FG) and 10 rebounds vs. Delaware. (Read more).

PITT PLAY OF THE WEEK

Women’s Basketball: Abby Dowd. Dowd hit the game-winning three pointer against Brown with 4.9 second remaining to give Pitt a 58-57 victory on Saturday afternoon. Dowd finished with nine points in the contest, all of which came on three-pointers. (Read more).
