A former standout swimmer for the Panthers, Kelly O'Hara was named Life Skills coordinator on March 25, 2013. O'Hara oversees the Health and Well-being programs, the Freshman and Senior Transition series, all Life Skills assessments and the Awards Mentoring Program.

O'Hara swam for the Panthers from 2004-08 and still holds the school record in the Women's 200-yard freestyle relay. O'Hara has dual citizenship and has competed for the Venezuelan National Team. O'Hara specialized in the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 fly at Pitt and for Venezuela. She was a team captain as a senior and was honored with Pitt's Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year and the Female Blue/Gold Award winner.

After graduating with a degree in social work, O'Hara earned her Master's degree in education, college student affairs from the University of South Florida.

Prior to working at Pitt, O'Hara spent two years at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. as the Assistant Director for Campus Vibrancy and Traditions.
