A former standout swimmer for the Panthers, Kelly Woodyard was named Administrative Operations Specialist for the athletic department in July of 2014. Woodyard oversees special projects for Dan Bartholomae, Executive Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Administration, and Marcus Bowman, Senior Associate Athletic Director.
Prior to her current position, Woodyard spent one year as the Life Skills Coordinator for the Panthers. During her time in Life Skills, Woodyard oversaw the health and well-being programs, the freshman and senior transition series, all Life Skills assessments and the Awards Mentoring Program.
Woodyard swam for the Panthers from 2004-08 and still holds the school record in the Women's 200-yard freestyle relay. Woodyard has dual citizenship and has competed for the Venezuelan National Team. Woodyard specialized in the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 fly at Pitt and for Venezuela. She was a team captain as a senior and was honored with Pitt's Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year and the Female Blue/Gold Award winner.
After graduating with a degree in social work, Woodyard earned her Master's degree in education, college student affairs from the University of South Florida.
Prior to working at Pitt, Woodyard spent two years at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. as the Assistant Director for Campus Vibrancy and Traditions.
