Internal and External Affairs Units Unveiled
Prior to returning to Pittsburgh, Klaczak spent 18 years as a member of the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department. Klaczak’s experience there included being the project leader for the Varsity Village, assisting with fundraising for the Varsity Village project, overseeing athletic facility construction and renovation, supervision of athletic facilities and event operations and sports oversight. While at Cincinnati, Klaczak was the Tournament Director for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Midwest Regional and the Conference USA Men’s Basketball Championship.
A 1986 graduate of Marietta College with a degree Information Systems, Klaczak played baseball for the Etta Express. Klaczak received his graduate degree in Sports Management from Robert Morris University in 1988.
A Pittsburgh, Pa., native, Klaczak resides in North Hills with his wife, Becky, and their son, Zak.

Being at the Pitt-ND football game in 1975, when Tony Dorsett rushed for 303 yards and the Panthers upset #9 ND.
What do you love most about working in athletics?
Providing support for young women and men so that they may be able to grow academically, athletically, personally and in the community.
What is one thing everyone should do when they visit the city of Pittsburgh?
Take an incline ride up to Mt. Washington. You get an unbelievable view of the city. In addition, I do not think there are many cities that have an incline, yet alone two.
