Game Day Parking Guide
Before you come to Heinz Field, you need a game plan for parking. And there are about as many options as there are plays in the Panthers playbook. From the bus to the T, by boat and by foot, there are more ways to go than just parking on the North Shore. Lots located downtown, in the strip District, Station Square and elsewhere combine with Port Authority and Gateway Clipper shuttles to make getting here no hassle at all.
Parking And Access
Because most of the available parking on the North Shore in the corridor of Heinz Field is reserved and pre-sold, the Panthers encourage fans to utilize the approximately 7,000 parking spaces downtown and in the Strip District and 3,400 spots at Station Square. Additionally, Port Authority busses run from the park n' ride lots throughout the city to Heinz Field prior to the game. Fans utilizing the downtown lots can also access Heinz Field by traveling across the Roberto Clemente Bridge, which will be closed to vehicular traffic, and taking the adjoining riverwalk directly to the stadium. The Gateway Clipper will also be operating water shuttles from Station Square.
Station Square
Station Square, a popular entertainment and retail area, also serves as a terrific option for Panther fans on gameday. Fans parking at the approximately 3,400 available parking spaces in the Station Square area can then board a Gateway Clipper Fleet cruiser and take a short ride across the Monongahela and Ohio to the North Shore right at the stadium. Shuttles run approximately three hours prior to kickoff. A roundtrip ticket for the service is $6, and one-way fares are $3.
Port Authority Shuttle Service
The Port Authority's shuttle is considered the most convenient and economical access to the stadium. There are basically two types of Port Authority services - suburban and downtown. Port Authority offers 10 different routes. They include two in the south, and one in each of the north, east, southeast and southwest suburbs, and Allegheny Valley (Route 28) and Neville Island. Additionally, there are two basic downtown services, originating from the Strip District (96D) and the Mellon Arena (96X). South Hills residents can utilize the Port Authority T service into downtown and then connect to a Panthers shuttle. Fans can also take Port Authority's regular downtown service and connect with a Panthers Shuttle at either the Strip District or Mellon Arena.
