#PITTalia Travel Log 4: Panthers on Wheels

LUCCA, Italy – The University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team spent the sixth day of its Italy excursion by stopping in the idyllic Tuscan city of Lucca for a bike tour.

TRAVEL LOG:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 2017

8-8:55 a.m.: Breakfast at hotel in Florence.
9:12 a.m.: Depart Florence hotel, en route to Lucca.
10:20 a.m.: Arrive at Lucca gates.
10:28 a.m.: Arrive at bicycle rental shop; distribute bicycles (…using all the tall bikes they have).
10:34 a.m.: Get acclimated on bicycles by around the square; use the phrase "it's just like riding a bike."
10:44-11:52 a.m.: Three-mile bicycle tour around Lucca wall, with stops downtown at San Michele in Foro and Puccini's Birth Home.

11:55 a.m.: Return all bicycles to rental shop with ZERO casualties (must be some kind of record).
12:01 p.m.: Begin walking tour around Lucca; end at Piazza del Anfiteatro.
12:19 p.m.: Lunch on your own.
2:39 p.m.: Depart on bus for Venice.
5:33 p.m.: Bathroom/snack break an hour outside of Venice.
6:42 p.m.: Arrive at hotel in Venice.
7-10 p.m.: On your own.
10:30 p.m.: Lights out.
