Medical Expenses And Insurance Coverage

The Department of Athletics assumes financial responsibility solely for injuries and illnesses student-athletes incur during University sponsored varsity sports participation. Injuries and illnesses incurred unrelated to sport settings are not the financial responsibility of the Sorts Medicine and Athletic Training staff or the Department of Athletics. All medical referrals must be authorized in advance by the Team Physician or Head Athletic Trainer. Unauthorized medical expenses are the financial responsibility of the student-athlete. Medical and Training Room benefits are extended to walk-on student-athletes as well as scholarship athletes.

In addition to the athletically related medical care that is provided for you through the PERFORMANCE TEAM, the University offers quality health care through the University Student Health Services.
