Panther Game Plan Academy

The Panther Game Plan Academy is searching for Pitt undergraduates that are interested in working in collegiate athletics. The intern will gain valuable experience in a Division I Athletics Program, working closely with student-athletes in student development.

Requirements:

  • Interns will work 15-20 hours per week
  • Must be entering your sophomore, junior or senior year
  • You must be a full-time University of Pittsburgh
  • Must attend all home football games for the fall of 2009 (a ticket and parking is provided)
  • Must attend select home men's and women's basketball games for the 2009-10 season (a ticket will be available)
  • Must be able to work evening events
  • Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft package)
  • Assist in all work associated with Career Development
  • This is a paid internship

    Job responsibilities are listed below:

  • Assist in all Panther Game Plan events/ programs
  • Coordinate and/or assist in the coordination of team community service events
  • Coordinate and/or assist in the Panther Leadership Academy
  • Assist in all work associated with Career Development
  • Coordinate and/or assist in coordination of all speakers related to pertinent Life Skills areas (Sports & Drugs, Alcohol Decision Making, etc.)
  • Assist in marketing and promoting all Panther Game Plan life skills events
  • Assist in writing monthly articles for Panther Eyes Magazine
  • Assist in administering and collecting evaluations and surveys to all student-athletes
  • Other duties as assigned
