"Extra Effort"
In December, the Panther Club introduced our latest initiative - "Extra Effort". Essentially, we strongly encourage you, like our more than 452 student-athletes on the fields of play and in the classroom, to give 110%.
Increasing your gift will make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes, and, will help directly offset our annual athletic scholarship costs. As an example, if your annual gift to the Panther Club Athletic Scholarship Fund last year was $300, we have asked you to consider increasing it to $330 for this year.
Here are some of the reasons why we have unveiled "Extra Effort"...Did you know that...
Educational expenses for one year at Pitt are around $30,000 per student?
Or, that the cost of books per semester is approximately $400?
This is proof positive that your annual gifts to the Panther Club DO make a difference, and, providing that "extra effort" will make a difference as well in reducing our scholarship expenses.
