Bio
2017: Enrolled at Pitt as a graduate transfer from Texas…played in eight games on the Pitt offensive line, starting three…each of his starting assignments came at right guard (Youngstown State, Georgia Tech and Rice)...selected to play in the 2018 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
AT TEXAS (2015-16): Spent two seasons as an offensive lineman for the Longhorns…following a 2015 redshirt, played in 11 games with nine starts at right tackle in 2016…first collegiate start came in Texas’ opener against Notre Dame and helped the Longhorns pile up 517 yards in a 50-47 win in two overtimes…was part of an offensive unit that averaged 491.2 yards per game to rank 16th nationally…the Longhorns averaged 239.3 rushing yards, which ranked 17th in the country…helped pave the way for All-America tailback D'Onta Foreman, who rushed for 2,028 yards.
AT EMCC (2013-14): Spent two seasons at East Mississippi Community College under Coach Buddy Stephens, helping EMCC to back-to-back National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championships…team went a combined 24-0 in Hodges’ two seasons…was an NJCAA All-Region XXIII selection as a sophomore in 2014…that season, EMCC ranked fourth nationally in scoring (53.8 points per game) and fifth in total offense (537.1 yards per game) en route to a 12-0 mark…his freshman season in 2013, EMCC went 12-0 while leading the NJCAA in both scoring offense (62.2) and total offense (610.6).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Aberdeen High School under Coach Mark Bray…helped team to an 11-3 record, the District 3A Region 2 title and the state 3A playoffs as a senior…also played basketball at Aberdeen.
PERSONAL: Brandon Ladarrian Hodges, born 2/13/94, is the son of Fred and Connie Hodges…has two brothers…earned his bachelor’s degree in applied learning and development from Texas…pursued his graduate studies in Pitt’s School of Social Work.
