2004-2005: Had season-best times of 51.36 in the 100 backstroke and 51.05 in the 100 fly at the Big East Championship meet...returns with the team's fourth-best time in the 100 backstroke and 100 fly...holds the fifth-best time in the 200 fly at 2:02.40...a member of the 800 freestyle relay team that finished the season with the team's top time.
2003-2004: Bernardi did not compete as a sophomore due to an injury.
2002-2003: Bernardi had an impressive first season with the Panthers, finishing fourth at the Big East Championships in the 100 back with a time of 49.88 seconds, his best race of the season...also competed in freestyle, butterfly, and IM events...had season-best times of 1:51.14 in the 200 IM and 49.6 seconds in the 100 fly, both at the conference meet...also helped 200 medley relay team to fourth-place finish at the Big East Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bernardi has experience in the spring and summer nationals where he placed in the top five...member of the Scarlet Aquatic Club for five years where he was a member of the 2002 summer sectional team champions...a team record holder in the 100 fly, 100 and 200 free, and the long course 100 back...is the state record holder for the 800 free relay.
PERSONAL: Born December 7, 1983...son of Louis and Kathleen Bernardi...has three sisters...an english writing major.
