2006-2007: George Placed ninth overall in the 200 fly, 10th in the 200 fly and posted a 12th place finish with a season-best time of 3:59.61 in the 400 IM at the Big East Championships...opened the season with a top finish in the 1000 freestyle and against Virginia Tech...helped the Panthers sweep the 200 butterfly in the Maryland meet with a first-place finish in that event and later in the 500 free...earned two first-place finishes against Cincinnati...against Big East rival West Virginia, he won the 1000 free, took second in the 200 fly and third in the 500 free...finished seventh in the finals of the 500 free at the Big Al Princeton Invitational and placed eighth in the finals of the 400 IM.
2005-2006: George earned an All-Big East selection in the 1650 freestyle...recorded the team's best times in the 500 and 1000 freestyles, second in the 1650 freestyle, 200 butterfly and the 400 IM...set career-best times in the 500 freestyle, 1650 freestyle and the 400 IM.
2004-2005: George battled for the top times in the distance freestyle races and claimed two-of-three by season's end...earned Big East honors in the 1650 freestyle with a 15:26.26 second-place effort, while posting the team's fastest time...turned in the top time in the 1000 freestyle with a 9:17.74 finish during that same 1650 freestyle race...at the TYR meet he swam the 500 freestyle in 4:33.64, second on the squad.
HIGH SCHOOL: George won a district title during his high school career in Jacksonville at The Bolles School...was awarded Ettan Van Bent Award for team's top swimmer...participated in Bolles Club since 1991...participated in the 2004 U.S. Olympic trials and placed 10th in the 1500 meter freestyle event.
PERSONAL: Born April 6, 1985...son of Don and Linda George...has three sisters...a communications major.
