Panthers return 15 finalists and set three school records.
Martin Vogel had the best finish on the day, placing fourth in the 200 fly B final.
Zach Lierley, Kourosh Ahani and David Sweeney all set school records.
Sean Heiden became the second swimmer in school history to swim the 50 free in less than 20 seconds.
2014-15: Had a pair of runner-up finishes in the season opener against Duke, going for second in both the 200 free and 200 back ... At Georgia Tech/Georgia Southern, placed third in the 200 free and fifth in the 200 back ... Won the 1000 free and helped Pitt to first in the 400 medley relay versus St. Bonaventure ... Against Bucknell, took second in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back, and teamed up for second in the 200 medley relay ... Swam to fifth in the 1650 free at Notre Dame/Virginia Tech ... Earned a fourth place finish in the 1650 free at the Pitt Invite, and raced in two consolation finals, placing ninth in the 200 free and 10th in the 200 IM ... Also helped Pitt take second in the 800 free relay ... At ATaT Winter Nationals, swam in both 100 back and 200 back and helped Pitt place seventh in the 800 free relay ... Took third in the 200 back against West Virginia ... Swam to second in the 1650 free at Denison ... Placed third in the 500 free and fifth in the 100 breast at the Senior Recognition Meet ... Earned a first place finish at Villanova in the 200 back and was on the runner-up 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams ... At the ACC Championships, swam in one C Final where he placed 22nd in the 200 back in addition to a 23rd place finish in the 1650 free and swam lifetime bests in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free and 100 back.
2013-14: Finished second in the 200 backstroke against Bucknell...Finished eighth in the 500 free at the Pitt invite...His 400 medley relay finished third at the Pitt Invite...At the Pitt Invite he also finished seventh in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 200 backstroke...Competed at the ATaT winter Nationals...finished fourth in the 100 back and second in the 200 back against Denison...Earned a second place finish in the 200 backstroke against Virginia...Swam in the ECAC championships where he finished sixth in the 500 freestyle, third in the 100 backstroke and second in the 200 backstroke...Earned a first place finish in the 400 freestyle relay at the ECAC Championships.
2012-13: Placed fifth in the 100 backstroke against St. Bonaventure...Swam the 1000 free, 200 back and 400 free relay against Virginia...Against Cincinnati he placed second in the 200 back (1:56.24) and fourth in the 1000 free...Against Notre Dame he placed sixth in the 1000 free...At the Pitt Invitational he had a career-best in the 200 IM (1:53.94) which he also placed fourth in...Brought home first place in the men's 200 yard backstroke and third in the 100 back against West Virginia...At the Western PA Invitational he placed first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 200 yard IM...Advanced to the consol final in the 200 yard backstroke at the Big East Championships.
2011-12: Won the consolation final of the 200 back (1:48.18) at the Big East Championship...placed 15th overall in the 100 back at the conference meet...finished second in the 100 back and 200 back at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 22)...placed second in the 100 back against Cincinnati (Nov 11)...placed second in the 500 free at the final regular-season meet at Trees Pool (Feb. 4)...touched for first as a member of the 200 medley relay team at the same meet.
High School: Led his high school 400 free relay team to a Class 4A State title...earned the silver and bronze medals for his individual efforts in the 100 free and 100 back...named to the Class 4A All-Colorado first team.
Personal: Born August 4, 1993...son of Greg and Lynn Notarianni...has one brother, Danny...enrolled in the Swanson School of Engineering.
