2012 - 2013: 2013 NCAA National Championship Meet participant...undefeated in the 100 fly through his first two years at Pitt...In home-opener against St. Bonaventure, Ahani had a first place Medley Relay finish and three individual top three finishes including first place 100 fly (49.45)...Took first place in the 100 fly (49.29) against Virginia as well as finishing first in the 200 medley relay...would also place second in the 400 yard freestyle relay...On the road against Cincinnati Ahani posted a first place finish in the 100 fly...Won first place in the 100 fly against Notre Dame while finishing third in the 200 medley relay...Had two first place finishes at the Pitt Invitational in the 100 butterfly and 200 medley relay while adding a third place finish in the 100 back...Part of the 200 free relay at the AT&T Winter Nationals that swam a 1:22.67...Took first place in both the men's 100 yard fly and 200 yard medley relay as well as third in the 50 yard freestyle against West Virginia... Took first place in the men's 100 yard backstroke at the Western Pa. Invitational.
2011 - 2012: Placed second in the 100 fly at the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Trials in Montreal, Quebec, to claim an alternate seed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London...earned All-Big East honors in the 100 fly (47.37) and as a member of the 200 and 400 medley relays...shattered the freshman record when he placed third in the 100 fly with an NCAA provisional finish at the Big East Championship in February...member of the 200 medley relay team that established a school record with an NCAA provisional time and a second-place finish...set a school record and posted an NCAA provisional time as part of the 400 medley relay...earned an NCAA B cut as part of the 200 free relay team that placed fourth at the BEC...held the team's top time in the 100 fly...captured meet titles as a member of the 200 free and 400 medley relay teams during the Pitt Invitational...touched second in the 100 fly for a then-freshman record at the home invitational...won the 100 fly and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay team at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 22)...clinched first in the 100 fly and third in the 50 free against Louisville (Nov. 4)...finished first in the 100 fly against both Notre Dame (Oct. 28) and Maryland (Jan. 13)...contributed to the first-place 200 free and 400 medley relay teams during a two-day meet against Maryland (Jan. 13-14)...won the 100 fly and finished third in the 100 back against Cincinnati (Nov. 11)...assisted in a second-place performance by the 200 medley relay team at West Virginia (Jan. 7)...won the 100 fly and placed second with the 200 medley relay at Virginia (Jan. 28)...finished first in the 200 back and third in the 200 free during the Senior Meet (Feb. 4).
High School: Competed in the 2011 Canadian World Championship Trials...in the 100 fly during the Canadian Summer Nationals, turned in a 54.77 performance, which was nearly a second under the U.S. Olympic Trial standard of 55.29...represented Canada at the 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Games...touched for first in the 200 fly at the 2010 Bergen International Swim Meet...placed second in the 50 fly and as a member of the 400 free and 400 medley relays...trained with the Richmond Hill Aquatic Club for seven years...was the fastest under-18 swimmer in the 50 and 100 butterfly in Canada.
