CAREER: School record holder in the 200 fly (1:45.25) that was set at the 2014 age group championships ... 2014 CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-America.
2015-16: Placed 2nd in 200 butterfly, and participated in 400 medlay relay and 400 yard IM at Bucknell...Helped his relay team place 2nd in the 200 yard medley relay, while also taking second in the 200 yard butterfly (1:51.93) and competing in the 100 yard butterfly and 200 yard IM against Georgia Tech... Finished second place in the 200 fly, seventh in the 100 fly, was part of the second place 400 freestyle relay and the fourth place 200 medley relay at Duke in the season opener.
2014-15: In the season opener against Duke, won the 200 fly and finished third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 fly ... Placed third in both the 200 fly and 200 IM at Georgia Tech/Georgia Southern ... Against St. Bonaventure, individually was second in the 400 IM and 100 fly and helped Pitt win the 400 medley relay ... Won the 100 fly, took third in the 200 free and led Pitt to runner-up in the 200 medley relay versus Bucknell ... At the Pitt Invite, competed in three championship finals, placing third in the 100 fly, fourth in the 200 free and sixth in the 200 IM, while helping Pitt to second in the 200 free relay ... Swam in one B Final, placing 10th overall in the 200 fly (1:46.64), while helping Pitt to seventh in the 800 free relay ... Won both the 500 free and 200 fly, and was fourth in the 200 IM against West Virginia ... At Denison, placed second in both the 100 fly and 200 free ... Finished first in the 400 IM at the Senior Recognition Meet ... Swam in two finals at the ACC Championships, competing in both the 200 fly B final and 400 IM C final, where he took 12th and 23rd, respectively.
2013-14: Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll ... Finished third in the 200 butterfly against Bucknell... Finished second in the 500 freestyle against Bucknell...Against Notre Dame and Virginia Tech, he finished second in the 200 yard butterfly...He finished in second place in the 500 yard freestyle at the Pitt Panthers Invitational...Also finished third in the 400 yard IM...Competed at the AT&T winter nationals where he earned a career best time in the 400 IM (3:31.35)...Advanced to the finals in the 200 butterfly at the AT&T Winter Nationals...Earned a first place finish in the 500 free against WVU...First place finish in the 200 fly against Denison ... Swam a lifetime best in the 500 freestyle (4.26.20) and advanced to the bonus final, scored in the 400 IM and also in the 200 fly at the ACC Championships ... Had a season best 200 fly time (1:45.91) at the Ohio State Last Chance Qualifier Meet.
2012-13: Placed third in the 200 fly (1:51.09) and second in the 200 IM (1:54.50) against Virginia...Against Cincinnati he placed first in both the 200 fly (1:50.14) and 500 free (4:40.23)as well as a third place finish in the 400 IM...Against Notre Dame he won the 200 fly (1:50.08) and placed third in the 500 free...At the Pitt Invitational he had a career-best in the 200 IM (also a third place finish), career-best in the 400 IM and first place finish, a first place and career-best in the 200 fly...At West Virginia, he individually placed first in the 200 butterfly (1:50.00), third in the 100 butterfly (51.19) and fourth in the 200 IM...Also was part of the third place 200 medley relay team against West Virginia.
High School: Hails from Johannesburg, South Africa where he attended Cambridge International Distance College...won 10 SA National Age Group titles throughout high school career...won the SA National Age Group team championship in 2012...qualified for SA Senior Nationals in 2010, 2011 and 2012...holds CGA State record in the 400 IM for age group 18...advanced to Fina World Short course championship finals in 200m fly...member of Team South Africa that competed at the Youth Commonwealth Games in September, 2011.
