2007-2008: Ruth Seiffert turned in the best time of the 200 breast consolation heat at the Big East Championships, for a ninth-place finish...placed 13th in the consolation of the 200 IM and 15th in the 400 IM at BEC...recorded an ECAC title with a first-place finish in the 100 breast...named a Pitt Performer of the Meet against West Virginia...recorded a second-place finish in the 100 breast against Virginia...she placed third in the 100 breast against Virginia Tech. 2006-2007: Seiffert set a school record (2:17.91) in the 200 breast during the prelims of the Big East Championships...helped the 800 free relay team capture a school record of 7:19.14 and a second-place finish at the conference championships...also competed in the 400 IM and finished tenth with a time of 4:25.78...posted a top-team time in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.63) and as a member of the 200 (1:43.40) and 400 (3:45.84) medley relay teams...took first-place honors against Cincinnati in the 1000 free and 200 breast...won the 400 IM event in a home meet against St. Bonaventure with a time of 4:34.18. 2005-2006: Seiffert was an All-Big East performer in the 200 and 400 medley relays...set personal-best times in the 100 breaststroke and 1650 freestyle...on the season's top-times list she placed first in the 100 breaststroke, third in the 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 IM and 200 breaststroke, fourth in the 400 IM and fifth in the 200 freestyle. HIGH SCHOOL: Seiffert was named a four-time Pennsylvania High School All-State swimmer...state champion in the 200 freestyle and runner up in both the 100 backstroke and the 400 freestyle... a 2005 YMCA Nationals finalist in the 200 breaststroke and the 400 IM...earned Delaware County Swimmer of the year, four times...a seventh Congressional District Scholar Athlete... member of the National Honor Society, National German Honor Society, National Music Honor Society...was a Brandywine YMCA three-year national finalist from 2003-05.
