2006-2007: Shearer placed 13th in the 500 free and took 10th in the finals of the 1650 free during the Big East Championships...was a member of the 800 free relay team that finished seventh at the BEC...dominated the distance freestyle events in the home finale, racking up first-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 free... won the 1000 free against Cincinnati...claimed the top time in the 1000 free and a second-place finish in the 500 free in the season-opener...placed second during a quad meet in the 500 free...rounded out the top finishers in the 1650 freestyle with a fourth-place finish in the Big Al Princeton Invitational.
2005-2006: Shearer ranked third on the team in the 1000 and 1650 freestyles...finished fifth in the 500 freestyle...set career-bests in the 200, 500 and 1650 freestyle.
2004-2005: Shearer added depth to the roster in the freestyle events...in the opening meet of the season, he posted the team's third-fastest time in the 200 freestyle at 1:49.27...against Virginia Tech he finished with the team's third-fastest time of 5:00.85.
HIGH SCHOOL: Shearer finished in second place at the WPIAL Championships in both the 200 and 500 freestyle during his senior year at nearby North Allegheny High School...received All-America status in 400 freestyle relay as a junior and earned All-American consideration in the 200 freestyle as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born June 14, 1986...son of Scott and Sharon Shearer...has one sister...a general management major.
