2009-10: Earned a berth in his first-ever Big East Championships...a member of the fourth-place 800 free relay team that recorded a NCAA provisional mark at the BEC...posted a seed in the consolation finals of 200 free at the conference meet...placed second in the 200 free against Cincinnati...a member of the 400 free relay team which took tenth place in the Ohio State Invitational.

At New Orleans: Jake Van Roekel finished fourth in the 200 free at the Sun Belt Conference holder in the 200 free...swam the team's second-fastest 200 IM at the conference meet (1:52.94)...recorded the team's third-fastest 100 free and 10-fly time at the SBC...a member of the 400 free relay team that bested the previous UNO record by eight seconds...a member of the UNO record-setting 800 free relay team, breaking the previous record by 19 seconds...swam on the 200 medley relay team that set the UNO record with a time of 1:33.01...set a then-school record in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.65.

High School: Van Roekel placed third in the 100 and 200 free at the 2007 Iowa State Championships...the 2007 District Swimmer of the Year...2008 Academic All-State...named team captain...2008 Scholastic Award winner.
