INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senior Kelsey Herbst finished 49th in the prelims of the 500 yard freestyle on Thursday afternoon and will now compete in the 1650 freestyle on Saturday at the NCAA Women’s National Championship Meet.
Herbst, the school record holder in the 500, finished prelims in a time of 4:48.48. It was her third fastest time of the season, but she failed to make the event finals.
Herbst concludes her career as a Panthers on Saturday in the 1650 freestyle. Herbst is also the school record holder in that event and she is seeded 38th overall.
