PITTSBURGH—Pitt’s swimming and diving team will honor its seniors at the conclusion of its regular-season finale at Trees Pool against Clarion, Carnegie Mellon and California (Pa) on Saturday, Feb. 6. Swimming events will begin at 11 a.m., while diving will start at 10 a.m. and be held at CMU’s University Pool.

Pitt’s seniors include Sophie Cross, Margo Ekstrom, Alyssa Ferraro, Allie Horvath, Ryann Kishbaugh, Tiffany Malatesta, Lisa McDonnell, Beth Newell and Sara Sullivan on the women’s side. For the men, the senior Panthers are Jon Buchanan, Justin Corvin, Murray Hannan, Alex Kubicek, Geoff Morgan and Charlie Zettel.

Last weekend, freshman Adam Maczewski and junior Andrzej Dubiel were named Pitt Performers of the Meet against Virginia. Maczewski won the 100 back (49.43) and was the lead-off of the 200 medley relay that finished second.

Dubiel was also a member of the 200 medley relay, as well as anchoring the winning 200 free relay with a 50 free split of 19.79.

For the women, Ekstrom and freshman Joanna Budzis were named Pitt Performers of the Meet. Ekstrom swept the diving events for the Panthers, while Budzis placed second in the 200 free and 200 back with season-best times.

The men are 5-4 in dual meet action this season, while the women sit at 5-5 on the year.
