PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will begin their preparation for the upcoming season by hosting their Alumni Meet this Saturday morning at Trees Pool. The meet will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The Alumni Meet will serve as the first day of practice for the Panthers with their first actual meet of the season coming at St. Bonaventure on October 19.
All alumni are encouraged to come back and participate in the morning’s events. Diving will get things started at 8:30 a.m., followed by swimming events at 9 a.m.
The Panthers bring back a host of talent for their inaugural season in the ACC, including NCAA participant Kourosh Ahani, team MVP David Sweeney, Jr., 200 IM school record Mack Rice and top diver Aaron Snyder for the men, along with top female swimmers Veronica Lee, Dani des Tombe, Renee Deschenes and Cam Dixon.
