PITTSBURGH - Five meet records were broken at the Blue/Gold intersquad scrimmage on Friday afternoon as the Pittsburgh swimming and diving team concluded its prep for next week's opening meet.
The Gold women defeated the Blue women by a score of 148-126, while the Gold men defeated the Blue men 155-104.
Junior Veronica Lee set the Blue/Gold record in the 100 Fly with a time a 56.85. On the men's side, Kourosh Ahani in the 100 Fly (48.71), Martin Vogel in the 200 Fly (1:51.05), David Sweeney Jr. in the 100 Free (46.01 - tie) and Mack Rice in the 200 IM (1:54.47) all set meet records.
The Panthers open the 2012-13 season next weekend, October 20th at home against St. Bonaventure.
