Barnes Places Among the Top 15 at the 2010 World Swimming Championships

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates–Men’s swimming and diving alum Warren Barnes earned three top 25 finishes at the 2010 World Short Course (25m) Swimming Championships in Dubai, this past weekend.

In his best performance of the meet, Barnes placed 15th overall in the 200 breast when he stopped the clock at 2:07.89. His 100 split was 1:01.40, allowing him to close the gap on several swimmers ahead of him in the race.

Later, during the final day of competition, Barnes recorded a top-25 finish in the 50 breast. His time of 27.56 was a personal best in this event.

Barnes’ first event of the meet was the 100 breast, where he placed in the top 25 with a 59.42 finish.
