Freshman Lauren Shaffer (Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny) placed 21st in 21:59.66, while freshman Maureen McCandless (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and senior Elizabeth Rocks (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) finished 24th and 29th, respectively.

For the men's team, freshman Darrell Curtis (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) was the top Pittsburgh finisher as he raced to 75th place with a time of 26:07.93. Freshman Nick Westerman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) was the next Panther to cross the finish line as he placed 96th in 26:29.01.

The Panthers are back in action next weekend as the squad will split up between the Duquesne Invitational and the NCAA Pre-Championships meet in Greenville, S.C.
