PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh cross country team posted another solid effort during the competitive CMU Invitational held at the nearby Schenley Oval on Saturday.

The women’s team finished sixth overall while the men placed seventh in a field of 15 and 13 teams, respectively.

Sophomore Stephanie Powers paced the women with a 16th-place performance at 19:48.59. Crossing the finish line shortly after Powers was freshman Morgan Perry, who placed 17th in the 5K at 19:50.58.

In the men’s 8K, sophomore Ben Kisley finished 19th overall when he completed the race at 26:39.42.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Leopard Invitational in Easton, Pa.
