EASTON, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh cross country team recorded a seventh place finish for both the men's and women's squads at the Leopard Invitational, hosted by Lafayette University on Saturday.
Sophomore Stephanie Powers paced the Panthers, finishing in 17th with a time of 22:41 in the 5K race. For the second consecutive race, freshman standout Morgan Perry came in just one spot behind Powers. Perry claimed 18th with a time of 22:43.20.
In the men's 8K, junior Andrew Cerrito led the Panthers with a 30th place finish, crossing the finish line in 27:27.50.
The Panthers return to action in two weeks when they travel to Louisville, Ky. for the Big East Championship.
