PITTSBURGH-The Panthers travel to Louisville, Ky. this weekend to compete in the Big East Championships on Saturday. The women's 6K will start the event at 11 a.m. and will be followed by the men's 8K at 11:50 a.m.
While only the top five finishers from each team factor into the overall score, the Panthers will send eight and nine runners from the men's and women's teams, respectively.
Kisley has crossed the finish line first for the Panthers in three of the men's team's four races this season. His best finish came in the Cappy Anderson Invitational on Sept. 17 where he came in fourth place overall.
In the women's race; Emily Barno, Julia Christensen, Rachel Erny, Mallory Hudson, Miya Johnson, Morgan Perry, Korinne Piper, Stephanie Powers and Elizabeth Tabor will look to build on their strong seasons in their biggest race of the season to date.
Perry and Powers have finished as the Panthers' top two runners in three of their four meets this season. Perry and Powers' best finishes so far this season also came in the Cappy Anderson Invitational where they took fifth and 10th place, respectively.
The Panthers come into this meet after coming in seventh place on both the men's and women's side in the Leopard Invitational in Easton, Pa.
In that meet, Powers paced the Panthers with a 17th-place finish in the women's race while Cerrito crossed the finish line in 30th to lead the way for the men.
