Junior (2001): Eric Ackerman was a multi-tool player for the Panthers in 2001...played outfield and provided a left-handed arm on the mound...pitched in eight games, starting six...registered a 1-2 record with one save, which tied for the team lead...picked up his only save at Georgetown in the first weekend of conference play...tossed a scoreless inning, striking out one Hoya batter in the Panthers' 10-8 victory...earned his lone win at Ohio, pitching seven innings and giving up just one run while mowing down four Bobcats...at the plate, batted .214 in 18 games...tallied four RBIs on the year and tallied two doubles...was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases...contributed two sacrifice hits for Pittsburgh.
