JUNIOR (2010)
Corey Baker was the Panthers' top starter in 2010 with a team-high and career-best 11 wins...his 11 wins placed him as one of the top pitchers in the nation...had career high and team high 73 strike outs in 2010... started the season 7-0 and made it past the sixth inning in each start...named to the All-Big East First Team...gave up just one run in three consecutive starts in March...was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region First Team.

SOPHOMORE (2009)
Corey Baker was an outstanding starting pitcher in 2009 starting in 13 games for the Panthers...he led the pitching staff in wins with six...threw a complete game shutout vs.Cincinnati, striking out five batters and while giving up nothing more than a single on March 21...named Big East Pitcher of the Week for his efforts in that Cincinnati win...pitched his second complete game against Seton Hall where he surrendered just two runs on five hits and struck out six...struck out 50 batters on the season...pitched 80.2 innings over a total of 15 appearances in 2009.

FRESHMAN (2008)
Baker started seven games and made 16 appearances on the mound for the Panthers last season as a true freshman...pitched 64.2 innings while striking out 43 batters...finished third on the team in stikeouts (43)...posted a season and career-high six strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work at East Carolina March 8...pitched a complete game striking out four, walking only one and giving up one earned run in a 3-2 win at Cincinnati on April 13.

HIGH SCHOOL
Baker was a three-year letterman at Clarkstown South High School...helped the junior varsity team to Rockland County championship title as a sophomore and varsity team to a league championship as a junior...helped varsity team capture the Thomas Depatto Northeast Elite tournament championship...notched a team-high batting average of .342 and ERA of 2.93 as a senior...was a two-time all-league selection as a junior and senior...named all-county, all-section and runner-up Section Player of the Year as a senior...played three seasons for the Bayside Yankees under head coach Marc Cuseta...member of Team Premier in 2007, competing against Team USA, Team Canada and Team China...went on to lead team to 2007 Premier World Series National Championship title...compiled a 20-1 record with the Yankees on the mound, leading the team with seven wins during the summer of 2007...earned a 2.14 ERA and two saves that season...was named the New York State runner up in Pop Warner Football during the 2001 and 2002 seasons...a member of the Foreign Language National Honors Society...received Outstanding Achievement Awards in both history and English.
