Baker was a three-year letterman at Clarkstown South High School...helped the junior varsity team to Rockland County championship title as a sophomore and varsity team to a league championship as a junior...helped varsity team capture the Thomas Depatto Northeast Elite tournament championship...notched a team-high batting average of .342 and ERA of 2.93 as a senior...was a two-time all-league selection as a junior and senior...named all-county, all-section and runner-up Section Player of the Year as a senior...played three seasons for the Bayside Yankees under head coach Marc Cuseta...member of Team Premier in 2007, competing against Team USA, Team Canada and Team China...went on to lead team to 2007 Premier World Series National Championship title...compiled a 20-1 record with the Yankees on the mound, leading the team with seven wins during the summer of 2007...earned a 2.14 ERA and two saves that season...was named the New York State runner up in Pop Warner Football during the 2001 and 2002 seasons...a member of the Foreign Language National Honors Society...received Outstanding Achievement Awards in both history and English.
