Sophomore (2001): T.J. Gornati pitched in eight games, starting one (Rutgers)...finished the season with a 1-2 mark with one save...picked up his only win in 1.2 innings of relief against Albany...pitched three innings the following day and earned the save in Pittsburgh's 5-1 victory over Sacred Heart...struck out three batters and gave up two hits in the three frames...tallied a season-high four strikeouts in four innings against Georgetown. Freshman (2000): Gornati earned his first career win (8-3) versus Buffalo (March 30), pitching five innings and striking out three batters...got the starting nod in two games, including Buffalo and Duquesne (April 13)...finished the year with a 1-0 record and a 4.63 ERA.
