Phil Konieczny nearly doubled his career batting average prior to the 2010 season when he hit .322... held a .981 fielding percentage...recorded at least three hits in a game on five separate occasions...quadrupled his previous two season total of 10 hits with 49 hits in 2010... named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District baseball team for his 3.99 cumulative grade point average in computer engineering...earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in his last five semesters and is a member of the University Honors College.
Philip Konieczny made 12 appearances in 2009 for the Panthers, starting four games...in his first appearance of the season at Ohio on March 4, Konieczny went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI...went 2-for-5 and scored twice in a 17-5 win against Akron on March 31...carried a perfect fielding percentage after splitting time in both the outfield and infield during the year.
Konieczny appeared in 24 games last season with the Panthers...held a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, recording nine putouts as well as nine assists...had two hits off four at bats, driving in five runs and scoring once in a 17-6 win over cross town rival Duquesne University April 16.
