Lopez was a four-year member of the McClancy High School baseball team under coach Nick Melito...posted a .460 batting average with two homeruns as a senior...received All-Queens honors as a junior and senior...was named the team MVP as a senior...helped the Bayside Yankees to a Premier Baseball National Championship.
