The University of Pittsburgh baseball team swept Virginia Tech on March 25, 2017 at Charles L. Cost Field.

Career: Has appeared in 25 outings … has made nine starts … owns a career record of 5-5 with a 4.17 ERA … has pitched 73.1 innings … has tallied 73 career strikeouts. 

2017: Maintained a starting role in the weekend rotation in the first half of the season … made 16 appearances, including nine starts as a redshirt junior … finished the season with a mark of 4-5 and a 4.61 ERA … tossed 56.2 innings, allowing 29 earned runs off 58 hits and 20 walks, fanning 48 … held opponents to a .267 average … earned his first win of the year in his first career start, going 6.0 innings, allowing one run off three hits and two walks, fanning four in the season opener against Delaware … got a no decision in the opener against Siena, going 6.0 innings, allowing two earned runs off four hits and three walks, fanning five … improved to 2-0 with a win at USC Upstate on march 4 in the first game of the doubleheader … threw 7.0 innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and one walk with four strikeouts … made his first ACC start on March 11 at No. 4 Louisville … fell to 2-1 on the year after going 4.0 innings, allowing five runs off eight hits and two walks, adding three strikeouts … earned a no decision in an effective outing against Notre Dame on March 19 in the first game of a doubleheader … grabbed his third win of the season in the first game of a doubleheader sweep of Virginia Tech … threw 5.0 innings, allowing just one run off four hits and two walks, fanning a career-best six batters … made his final two ACC starts of the season at Duke (March 31) and nationally ranked Virginia (April 7) … threw 3.0 innings of relief against SIU Edwardsville on April 29, blanking the Cougars, allowing two hits and striking out three … tossed an inning of relief against Maryland Eastern Shore (May 2) … earned a start against Youngstown State on May 10 … pitched an inning of relief in two games against NC State … threw an inning of flawless work against West Virginia on May 16 … went 4.0 innings against Wake Forest, earning the loss, allowing just one earned run off one hit and one walk, striking out three Demon Deacons … concluded the season on May 20 with a 1.0 inning outing at Wake Forest … allowed three runs off three hits with one strikeout. 

2016: Did not compete due to injury … spent the season rehabbing following Tommy John surgery.

2015: In his season debut against Kansas State, tossed a career-high 3.2 innings and struck out a personal-best six batters, while giving up just one hit and one earned run … pitched 3.0 innings at USC Upstate to earn his first career win, scattering one hit and no runs, while striking out five of the 11 batters he faced … in the first game against VCU, fanned five batters an gave up no runs on two hits in 3.0 innings … earned his first career save, throwing 1.0 perfect innings and striking out a pair against No. 1 Virginia … tossed 2.0 perfect innings with one strikeout in game three against No. 1 Virginia … fanned three batters and allowed just one hit for a four-out save (1.1 innings) against No. 11 North Carolina … pitched another 1.1 innings in the finale with No. 11 North Carolina, striking out one.

2014: Made only one appearance and threw 1.0 inning in limited action as a freshman.

High School: Played high school baseball at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, N.J., under head coach Marty Kenny … was rated as the 500th best prospect in 2013 by and the 15th best prospect in the state of New Jersey … was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Christian Brothers Academy … was recognized as a member of the 2012 ESPN High School Preseason All-State Team in New Jersey … was selected to Perfect Game’s WWBA 17U All-Tournament Team as well as Perfect Game’s 2012 Underclassmen Honorable Mention team … was chosen to participate on the 2012 NY Yankees Area Code team, which represented the Northeast region in Long Beach, Calif. … was also selected to compete in the East Coast Pro Showcase Team for the Philadelphia Phillies in Syracuse, N.Y., with other top players from the region.
