SOPHOMORE (2007): Brian Muldowney was the go-to guy off the bench for the Panthers in 2007, making 36 appearances and 27 starts, 18 of which came at second base after an injury to fellow infielder Gary Bucuren called for some defensive adjustments...batted .167 with 16 hits including four doubles and one triple...crushed a double and scored a run as part of a 1-2 performance in an early-season, close 4-3 loss to Vanderbilt on February 23...went 2-5, including a double and a triple, while also scoring two runs in the Panthers' 6-2 win over Louisville on April 4...went 1-3 with one run scored and two defensive putouts in a tight 6-5 victory over Central Michigan on May 8...tallied two hits, including an RBI-single in an 8-3 loss to Seton Hall on May 19...recorded 31 putouts and 42 assists seeing time in both the infield and outfield, including seven double plays...tallied three multi-hit games...was hit by pitches a team-high seven times during the season.

FRESHMAN (2006): Muldowney appeared in 32 games for the Panthers, making 22 starts...batted .219 with 23 hits, including four doubles, one triple and three homeruns for 13 RBI...posted a .362 slugging percentage and scored 19 runs...contributed six putouts and nine assists, including one double play...saw first collegiate playing time vs. Vanderbilt on Feb. 24...made first collegiate start in a 10-5 loss to Boston College on March 5...went 2-5 with two singles to record first career hit in a 24-0 win over Rollins on March 6...recorded first career double in a 9-3 win over St. Joseph's...blasted first collegiate homerun with a three-run shot to help the Panthers to a 10-5 win over Sacred Heart...tallied another three-run blast the following game in a 14-2 win over St. Joseph's...recorded first career triple in an 8-1 win over Seton Hall...went 2-2 in 17-14 loss to Kent State, including third career homerun in the bottom of the ninth...held a 10-game hitting streak from March 6 through March 22, tallying two or more hits in eight of those games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Muldowney earned first-team Philadelphia Enquirer All-Area honors at West Chester East High School...ranked as one of Baseball America's top 100 players in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Pennsylvania...helped West Chester East to a Pennsylvania state title as a sophomore in 2003 and to the PIAA semifinals as a senior in 2005.

PERSONAL: Born August 4, 1986...son of Bill and Joan Muldowney...has one brother, Billy (23), who was a starting pitcher for the Panthers and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2006...a chemistry major.
