JUNIOR (2004): Mike Zambriczki served as the backup catcher to Alex Rybczak, starting 22-of-26 games played...had a .396 on-base percentage and a .479 slugging percentage...hit .288 in 26 games with three home runs and 21 RBIs...was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases...finished with a career-high (tied) four RBIs with two hits, including a double, in the win over Iona (March 12)...also drove in four runs with a 2-for-5 performance in the 20-5 win at Buffalo...blasted a three-run home run against the Bulls...knocked in three runs with two hits, including a home run, in the 15-11 victory over Ohio...finished with two hits (double), two RBIs and one run scored in the win over Akron (G1)...added two hits and two RBIs against Duquesne (April 6)...blasted a solo home run against Georgetown (G2). SOPHOMORE (2002): Serving as the No. 1 catcher, Zambriczki started 31-of-32 games in which he played...finished the season batting .309 with four home runs, 19 RBIs, five doubles and 23 runs, all of which were career highs...was a perfect 2 for 2 in stolen bases...opened the season with an impressive two games at Md.-Eastern Shore, finishing 3 for 4 with four runs, two RBIs and a double...belted two home runs with three RBIs and two runs versus St. John's...had three hits, including a home run, three runs and two RBIs versus Duquesne...had a career-high eight-game hitting streak stretching from April 20 (Rutgers) to May 5 (Georgetown)...during the streak, he batted .483 (14 for 29) with seven runs, seven RBIs and one home run...in the middle of those eight games, lit up Canisius for three hits in four at-bats, three runs and three RBIs...hit the game-winning single in the Panthers' 12-11 comeback victory over UConn...finished 3 for 4 with three runs, two RBIs and a double against the Huskies. FRESHMAN (2001): Zambriczki started 25 games at catcher for Pittsburgh...split time with graduated senior Charis Britt behind the plate...batted .247 in his first campaign...hit three home runs and knocked in 14 runs for the year...was a perfect 3-for-3 against Canisius with a double and an RBI...tallied two hits and two RBIs in the second game of the UConn series...totaled three RBIs and two runs on two hits versus Akron, including a home run. HIGH SCHOOL: Zambriczki was honored as the 2000 Bucks County Player of the Year...honorable mention all-state as a senior...honored twice as Council Rock High School's Most Valuable Player...a two-time Bucks County Courier and Trenton Times first-team honoree...also named to the Philadelphia Inquirer's all-Philadelpia area team...batted .440 as a senior and .410 as a junior...also led Council Rock with 10 home runs in 2000 and six in 1999...was the 2000 recipient of the American Legion Sportsman of the Year award...also a three-time All-Bucks County American Legion first-team honoree...a two-time member of the Carpenter Cup team.
