Corey Baker (Palm Beach Cardinals - Class A Advanced | Florida State League): Baker made his fourth start of the season last week and came on in relief in another for a total of 4.2 innings. In his relief appearance, Baker retired both batters he faced, striking out one. On Sunday, he started and went four innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out two.

Raymond Black
(San Jose Giants - Class A | California League): Black was called up to the San Jose Giants of the California League, Class A Advanced during the week. In his first outing with the Giants on Saturday, Black tossed a perfect seventh inning with a strikeout to earn the win in relief.

David Chester
: (Portland Sea Dogs - Double-A | Eastern League): Chester went hitless in 10 at-bats spanning three games last week. He did walk twice and scored a run in Portland's 5-0 win on Sunday.

Luke Curtis
(Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - Class A | Midwest League): Curtis had another long relief outing in his only appearance for the Timber Rattlers last week, pitching three innings for the third time in his last four appearances. He held down the fort, lowering his ERA by almost a full run to 4.34 after allowing just one unearned run in three innings. In the game, Curtis struck out two three.

Adam Dian
(AZL Rangers - Rookie | Arizona League): Dian was called out of the bullpen twice last week, and for the third time in the last eight days. He struggled in his three career outing, walking four and surrendering a run in just one-third of an inning. He bounced back two days later and didn't allow a run, striking out a career-high two batters in one frame.

Joe Harvey (Staten Island Yankees - Class A Short Season | New York-Penn League): Harvey pitched a career-long three innings in Staten Island's victory against Vermont on Sunday. He struck out two and only allowed one hit.

Matt Iannazzo (Bridgeport Bluefish - Independent League): Despite lasting a season-long seven innings and giving up just one run on five hits, Iannazzo suffered his fourth straight loss on the bump. He struck out four and walked two in the setback.

Joe Leonard (Gwinnett Braves - Triple-A | International League): Leonard had a strong week, reaching base in all three of the Braves' games. Hewent 3-for-7, including a multi-hit game at Charlotte. That same night, Leonard also walked twice, reaching base a whopping four times in addition to scoring twice.For the week, Leonard's on-base percentage was .750 (8-12).

Ethan Mildren (Fort Myers Miracle - Class A Advanced | Florida State League): Mildren made one start last week and suffered the loss in the outing. He gave up six runs in 4.1 innings.

Nate Reed (Salem Red Sox - Class A Advanced | Carolina League): Reed threw three innings over the course of two outings last week. In his long relief appearance, he yielded four runs, while walking three and striking out two in 2.1 innings. He settled down later in the week, surrendering just a pair of hits in 0.2 innings on Sunday.

John Schultz (Evansville Otters | Independent League): Schultz's only action last week came in a doubleheader at Traverse City. In the first game of the double-dip, Schultz walked, extending his reached base streak to 13 consecutive games. He failed to collect a hit in either game, however.

Elvin Soto (Hillsboro Hops - Class A Short Season | Northwest League): Soto had an extremely productive week, recording three multi-hit games in five games played. including a three-hit, three run game last Monday. Overall, the catcher batted .500 (7-14, hit two homers, drove in three runs and crossed the plate six times. In the weekend finale against Spokane, Soto accounted for all four Hops runs, going 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Matt Wotherspoon (Staten Island Yankees - Class A | Short Season New York-Penn League): Wotherspoon bounced back after a shaky outing two weeks ago to throw three innings of scoreless ball in relief on Friday. He didn't allow a hit, struck out three and walked three in the appearance.
