THE STORYLINE

Ashton Gibbs returns for his sophomore season after completing a stellar 2008-09 season. As Pitt's best shooter off the bench, Gibbs led the Big East in 3-point percentage (.439). A proven winner and competitor, Gibbs showed his versatility in contributing at both the point and off guard positions as a freshman. He is described as a heady combination guard who can shoot and handle the ball. Gibbs, who has played in many pressure packed games, is also a clutch performer and cool under pressure. A steady all-around player, he has the ability to change the game with his shooting skills.
