POST GAME NOTES
Wofford at Pitt, CBI Opening Round, Petersen Events Center, March 14, 2012
Pitt 81, Wofford 63
*Tonight's game was Pitt's first-ever contest in the fifth-annual College Basketball Invitational. It is the Panthers 12th consecutive postseason appearance and for the first time in 11 seasons, Pitt will not be playing in the NCAA Tournament. Pitt's streak of advancing to the NCAA Tournament each of the past 10 seasons made it one of only seven programs to do so.
*Pitt advances to play Princeton next Monday at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center in the CBI Second Round. Princeton defeated Evansville in its first round game, 95-86.
*The win improves the Panthers' record in the Petersen Events Center to 161-19. Pitt has won 67 of its last 76 home games.
*The game was the second meeting in series history. Pitt improves to 2-0 against Wofford with the previous win coming in a 63-60 victory at the Petersen Events Center on Nov. 13, 2009.

The Panthers shot 63.3 percent from field goal range in an 89-69 win in the Big East Tournament on Feb. 29, 2012 over St. John's and 58.5 percent in a 78-58 win over Penn on Nov. 25, 2011.
*The Panthers tied a season low with six turnovers. They also had six turnovers in a 61-56 win at Tennessee on Dec. 3, 2011.
