*Pitt began a season at 4-0 for the 14th time in the last 15 seasons.
*Pitt set a school record for largest halftime deficit overcome to win a game. Pitt trailed by 14 points at halftime tonight (34-20) and won 72-62 in overtime. The previous record was 13 points (33-20) vs. Duquesne in the final game played at Mellon Arena on Dec. 2, 2009.
*The comeback ranked as the third largest halftime turnaround in school history. Pitt trailed by 14 points and won by 10, giving it a plus-24 margin. The record is 26, set at St. Francis, Pa., 12/5/83.
*It also ranked as the second largest second half deficit overcome to win a game in school history. Pitt trailed by 18 points, 48-33 with 11:09 to go. The school record remains a 22-point comeback win over Purdue on Dec. 2, 1960 (81-80 win).
*Pitt tied the school record for largest deficit overcome to win a game with less than 1:30 left to play. Today, Pitt trailed by seven points, 58-51 with 1:07 to go. It tied the previous record vs. West Virginia on Feb. 12, 2010. In that game, Pitt trailed by seven points (66-59) with 1:13 to go and won 98-95 in triple overtime.
*Pitt registered just one come-from-behind victory last season (at Butler, 68-62 win in overtime on March 21, 2012).
*Pitt trailed by as many as 18 points in the second half. The 18 points are the most Pitt has trailed by this season.
*Pitt improved to 168-19 in the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers have now won 74 of their last 83 home games.
*Pitt improved to 95-3 in non-conference games at the Petersen Events Center and 48-1 in the month of November. The Panthers have now won 116 of their last 120 home games against regular season non-conference opponents.
*J.J. Moore grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds. He scored 16 points for his 19th career double figure scoring game.
*Dante Taylor finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in only 28 minutes. It marked his 14th career double figure scoring game and first of the year.
*Freshman James Robinson finished with a career-high 14 points in a career-high 35 minutes played. It marked his first-ever double figure scoring game.
*Pitt was outscored 30-28 in the paint after outscoring its opponents 136-38 in the paint through its first three games.
*Pitt had the same starting lineup of Steven Adams, Lamar Patterson, James Robinson, Tray Woodall and Talib Zanna for the fourth game in a row.
