PITTSBURGH (AP) - Aaron Gray led all scorers and rebounders with a career-high 22 points and 11 rebounds to help Pittsburgh to a 79-58 win over St. Francis NY on Tuesday night.
Carl Krauser added 18 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Panthers (4-0), who never trailed in the game and are 4-0 for the eighth consecutive season.
Christian Brown had 20 points and Tristin Smith had 10 for the Terriers (2-2).
Pitt only led by three at halftime but opened the second half on an 8-2 run and added an 11-2 run midway through the half to break the game open. The Panthers had led by as many as 10 in the first half but the Terriers scored seven of the final nine points before the break.
Despite hitting only four of 20 attempts from 3-point range, Pitt shot 48 percent in the contest to the Terriers' 36 percent. St. Francis committed 19 turnovers, and the Panthers held a 31-2 advantage in points off of turnovers. Pitt also held a 12-3 edge in fast-break points.
Pitt is 62-0 all-time against Northeast Conference opponents and has won 53 of its last 54 games against non-conference foes at home.
