*Today’s attendance of 12,725 ranks as the sixth largest crowd in Petersen Events Center history.
*With the win, Pitt has now beaten Connecticut in each of the last four meetings and in five of the last six matchups. In the last six games between the two teams inside the Petersen Events Center, the Panthers are 5-1. Pitt is 9-5 against UConn since March, 2003. Pitt has won each of the last four meetings by eight points or more.
*Pitt is now 8-0 all-time against top-5 teams the Petersen Events Center.
*Pitt improved its all-time Petersen Events Center record to 142-11. Pitt is 58-10 against Big East opponents inside the arena and has now won 17 consecutive home games and 48 of its last 49 games at PEC.
*The game marked the 16th game at the Petersen Events Center involving two ranked teams. Pitt improved to 13-3 in those contests and 8-0 vs. top-5 ranked teams at the PEC.
*Pitt has now held 12 of 14 opponents this season to fewer that 70 points.

*For the first time this season and in 13 games, junior forward Nasir Robinson was in the starting lineup. Robinson started all 34 games last season.
*Junior guard Ashton Gibbs scored a team-high 21 points on 6-13 shooting, knocking down 3-6 3-pointers along the way. Gibbs was also a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line and added a game-high seven assists, which tied a career-high (two other times: vs. Maryland Eastern Shore on 12/18/10; vs. Illinois-Chicago 11/10/10). Gibbs has now reached double-figures in all but one game this season.
*Senior center Gary McGhee finished with 11 points on 5-6 shooting and added 11 rebounds for his seventh career double-double. McGhee has four double-doubles this season and has had a double-double in every game this season in which he’s reached double-figure scoring. McGhee added three blocks in the effort.
*Junior forward Nasir Robinson had 11 points and 10 rebounds, giving him four double-doubles for his career and two for this season.
*Senior guard Brad Wanamaker finished with 14 points on 5-8 shooting and was 3-4 from the free throw line.
