POST-GAME NOTES

 

*The game marked Pitt's final non-conference contest before it begins its 25th season of Big East Conference play vs. Syracuse on Thursday, Jan. 4. Pitt still has one final non-conference game: vs. Washington on Feb. 17. Pitt enters Big East play with a 12-2 overall record.

 

*Pitt won its 18th consecutive home game against a non-conference opponent dating back to 2005.

 

*Pitt hit a season-high 13 3-pointers. The previous game high was 10 3-pointers vs. Florida State. Pitt converted 13-31 3-pointers for a 41.9 percent clip.

 

*Pitt won its ninth consecutive home game and improved to 9-0 at home this year. The nine-game win streak ranks tied for ninth among all-time best win streaks in Pitt basketball history.

 

*Mike Cook led Pitt with 16 points on the evening, one shy of his season-high of 17 set vs. Western Michigan. He hit double figure scoring for the 10th time in 14 games this year. He sparked Pitt with 13 points in the first half.

 

*Ronald Ramon finished with 11 points and hit 3-10 3-point field goals. He reached double figure scoring for the fifth time this year. His 10 3-point attempts tied a career-high (10 at Wisconsin on Dec. 16, 2006).

 

*With his 14 points, Antonio Graves reached double figures for the 27th time in his career and ninth time in 14 games.

 

*Pitt improved to 16-0 all-time vs. MEAC opponents. Pitt is 2-0 vs. MEAC opponents this season. Earlier this year, Pitt defeated Delaware State 67-50 on Nov. 14.

 

*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon improved to 28-2 in December contests. Dixon is also 47-3 all-time against non-conference competition in his four years as head coach at Pitt.

 

*The win improves Pitt to 73-6 all-time in the Petersen Events Center and 46-1 vs. non-conference opponents in the five-year old arena.

 

*Pitt has won 67 of its last 68 home games against regular season non-conference opponents.

 

*Pitt improved to 67-3 vs. non-conference opponents over the last six seasons.
