PITTSBURGH — KDKA-TV continues to follow Pitt basketball through March Madness and will air its second NCAA Tournament special — “March to the Motor City” — this Wednesday, March 25, from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
The show will feature KDKA sports anchors Bob Pompeani and Jory Rand, as well as all-time Pitt great Curtis Aiken. The trio will preview the Panthers’ “Sweet 16” encounter with Xavier and look back at the opening-round victories in Dayton.
Aiken will be following Pitt to Boston for its East Region game with the Musketeers. A standout guard, Aiken scored 1,200 career points from 1983-87, helping the Panthers to four postseason berths, including two NCAA Tournaments and two NITs. Pitt shared the Big East regular-season title Aiken’s senior season in 1986-87.
KDKA is Pittsburgh’s home for every single bounce of the ball in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Pitt-Xavier will tip-off on KDKA this Thursday, March 26, at 7:27 p.m.
