NASSAU, Bahamas--The Pitt Basketball team improved to a perfect 3-0 on its Bahamas Foreign Tour with a 94-55 win over the Street Legends All-Stars Tuesday evening at Kendal G.L. Isaacs National Gymnasium. Pitt will play its final game of the tour on Wednesday when it meets the Atlantis All-Stars at 7 p.m. ET.

Five Pitt players reached double figure scoring including Cameron Wright (13 points), James Robinson (11), Michael Young (11), Josh Newkirk (10 points/five assists) and Joseph Uchebo (10 points/17 rebounds). Freshman Ryan Luther also contributed eight points and eight rebounds off the bench.

Pitt shot just 42 percent (34-81) but hit 90 percent (26-29) of its free throw attempts in a contest that saw 44 fouls. The Panthers limited the Legends to just 25 percent shooting (18-72) and outrebounded the smaller Legends 65-31.

An 8-0 Pitt run in the first quarter was quickly erased when the Street Legends All-Stars converted three 3-pointers against Pitt's 2-3 zone to tie the score 19-19 at the end of the period. Pitt switched out of its 2-3 zone and back to its traditional man-to-man defense and the game immediately changed in favor of the Panthers.

Pitt slowly built a lead in the second quarter when Cameron Wright scored five straight points on a driving layup which turned into a 3-point play and two free throws. Young added two free throws and suddenly Pitt led 33-25 with four minutes to play in the half.

Pitt took control of the game right before halftime with a 6-0 run sparked by two layups from Luther and a James Robinson jumper which gave the Panthers a 41-29 halftime advantage. The Panthers continued the run into the second half as they scored the third quarter's first seven points on a Wright layup, Robinson 3-point play and Young layup to take a commanding 48-29 lead with 6:50 to play in the period.

Pitt outscored the Street Legends All-Stars 28-12 in the third quarter behind Newkirk's eight points. The Panthers led by as many as 38 points in the fourth quarter.

Pitt starters were senior Derrick Randall at center, sophomores Michael Young and Chris Jones at forward and senior Cameron Wright and junior James Robinson at guard.

The Street Legends All-Stars were led by Eugene Bain, who finished with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds. Bain also scored 20 points last night against Mississippi.
