PITTSBURGH--Dallas Mavericks owner, Pittsburgh native and honorary Oakland Zoo member Mark Cuban will speak to University of Pittsburgh students about his life and various business ventures on Tuesday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m., at the William Pitt Union Assembly Room.
Sponsored by The Pitt Program Council, Oakland Zoo and Pitt Athletics, Cuban will discuss his business ventures including the Dallas Mavericks, 2929 Entertainment, HDNet and Broadcast.com. Cuban has also hosted his own reality TV show, The Benefactor and appeared on ABC's hit TV show, Dancing With the Stars.
The event is free for all University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students. Tickets are available at the Pitt Program Council window of the William Pitt Union Ticket Office. Cuban, who has attended several Pitt Basketball games, is also in town to watch his Mavericks play the Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA Exhibition Game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., at Pitt's Petersen Events Center.
