A Dutch native of Holland, Shaquille Doorson is extremely athletic for his size of six-feet-11 inches tall and 265 pounds. Doorson attacks the basket with some developing post moves and is an aggressive rebounder and scorer. He also has great hands, surprising speed and agility for his size and is a hard worker who is still in the process of learning the game. Only 19 years old, Doorson has only played organized basketball for two years.
Currently attends the Canarias Basketball Academy in Tafira Alta, Spain where he plays for director Rob Orellana…Canarias Academy consistently plays games in the United States…Ranked as a four-star player by Rivals.com and the nation’s No. 20 center by ESPN following action at the National Prep Showcase in late November.
Born Shaquille Doorson on Feb. 26, 1994…Regarded as the top basketball academy in Europe, Canarias Basketball Academy has produced over 50 NCAA Division I players in only six years of operation…Will become the first Pitt player ever from the Netherlands.
